Jacqui at PURE Holistic Beauty answering top blemish removal questions

Your most Googled questions, answered by Jacqui at PURE Holistic Beauty 💚

When it comes to blemish removal — skin tags, milia, moles , xanthelasma and beyond — there’s one thing I know for sure: you’ve got questions.

And I love that!

Because asking the right questions means you care about your skin, your health, and getting the right treatment.

So here’s a no-fluff, honest FAQ covering the top things my clients (and Google!) want to know before booking a blemish removal treatment.

1. Is blemish removal painful?

This is probably the #1 question I get — and totally understandable!

No one wants to suffer for smooth skin.

The short answer: Most clients say it feels like a quick sting, warm zap, or scratch — but it’s over very quickly and I can use localised numbing products on some areas too.

I use Advanced Electrolysis, which is a super-precise, non-invasive treatment.

There’s no stitches, and minimal discomfort.

💬 I always chat you through the whole process and check you’re comfy before we begin.

2. Will I have a scar after treatment?

Great question — and something I take very seriously.

While everyone’s skin is different, I’ve built my approach around scar-free healing.

If you follow the aftercare (I’ll give you everything you need), most clients see smooth, clear skin once the area has fully healed.

You might get a tiny scab for a few days, maybe a week or two— totally normal and part of the process — but long-term scarring is very rare.

3. Can I wear makeup after blemish removal?

Yes — but not straight away, your must wait until the scab has naturally fallen off.

Applying makeup too soon will interfere with healing and increase the risk of irritation or scarring.

4. How many sessions will I need?

In many cases, just one!

Smaller blemishes like milia or tiny skin tags and some moles often vanish after a single treatment.

Larger or more complex blemishes (like xanthelasma) may need two or more sessions, depending on the depth, size, and how your skin responds.

Every client is unique, which is why I always start with a consultation — that way, we can create a personalised plan for the best results.

5. What kinds of blemishes can you remove?

Here at PURE Holistic Beauty, I treat a whole range of common (and annoying!) blemishes, including:

✔️ Skin Tags

✔️ Milia

✔️ Xanthelasma

✔️ Sebaceous Hyperplasia

✔️ Cherry Angiomas (blood spots)

✔️ Age spots or pigmentation marks

✔️ Moles

Not sure what you’ve got? Just send me a message or a photo. I’m happy to take a look and advise honestly — even if it’s something I don’t treat, I’ll always point you in the right direction.
