How do Anti-Wrinkle Injections work?
PURE’s experienced and highly trained aesthetic therapist will treat the muscles in the chosen area with a series of small injections containing Botulinum Toxin. This will relax the muscle as a result of blocking the nerve impulses which cause unwanted lines and wrinkles, resulting in a smoother finish and younger, fresher looking skin.
What areas can be treated with Anti-Wrinkle Injections?
‘Anti-Wrinkle Injections, like the name suggests, are most effective when used to reduce the signs of ageing. The best areas to have treatment include:
- Forehead/Brow
- Between the Eyes
- Sides of the Eyes (Crow’s Feet)

It sounds painful...does it hurt?
You may feel some mild discomfort during the treatment, due to the small injections however, this treatment is largely pain-free. You may notice some tenderness in the treatment area directly after the treatment, but this should subside quickly.
Who is NOT suitable for this treatment?
You should not have this treatment if:
⦁ The treatment area is infected or suffering any skin condition
⦁ You are allergic to any of the ingredients
⦁ You are pregnant or breastfeeding
⦁ You have a neuromuscular disorder (e.g. myasthenia gravis).
All Anti-Wrinkle Injection treatments will only be undertaken after your face to face consultation with one of our experienced aesthetic therapists, during which a full assessment will be carried out and full list of cautions and contraindications will be discussed.
What do I need to know about Aftercare?
Although it might feel slightly strange, by keeping your facial muscles active after your treatment, this will help the injections to take effect. You should try to avoid touching the treated area within the first 24hours following treatment. You should also:
- Avoid alcohol immediately after treatment
- Avoid pain medication immediately after treatment
- Avoid Air Travel for 48hours (due to the air pressure changes)
- Avoid any electrical rejuvenation treatments 7days after treatment
When will I see the results from my treatment?
Most results can be seen within 7days of treatment however, the results will vary from client to client. Anti-Wrinkle Injections should last up to 4months, at which point you may wish to book your next treatment.
