Micro-blading

Our skincare experts share all you need to know about our Micro-blading treatments.

Microblading is a form of semi-permanent makeup that creates natural beautiful brows with a handheld blade. Technically microblading is a form of eyebrow tattooing, but unlike traditional tattooing, which uses a machine, microblade artists apply each hair-stroke with a hand-held microblade. The result is that microblading produces a very fine line that resembles real hair. Blending with your existing eyebrows hair, hair-strokes are hand-drawn by the eyebrow artist. At PURE we create the perfect look by adding beautiful shape and lift to your brows, that will accentuate your eyes. Restores natural and realistic looking brows so you can say goodbye to your eyebrow pencil forever!

Here are a few Frequently Asked Questions about our Micro-blading treatment…

What is semi-permanent Make-Up

Semi-permanent make-up is a form of cosmetic tattooing. It is a process where coloured pigment is implanted into the skin, using a sterile blade, production make-up that last up to a couple of years.

Why have semi-permanent make-up?

Semi-permanent make-up is time saving and cost effective alternate to applying make-up every day. Semi-permanent can benefit a wide range of people including, athletes, people with unsteady hands and failing eyesight, people who have lost part or all of their brows, through chemotherapy or alopecia or anyone who wants to look and feel like they have eyebrows at all times!

What can I expect from the treatment?

Prior to your treatment, you’ll have a consultation with one of our skincare experts, which is your chance to ask questions and talk thought your treatment and discuss your expectations and end results. You’ll also have a patch test at your consultation prior to treatment.

When you visit us for your treatment, please allow approximately 2 hours for your procedure to include numbing and colour matching. A topical anaesthetic is applied prior to and during your procedure in order to make the treatment as comfortable as possible. Most people will feel nothing at all though some clients describe the sensation as a ‘tingling’ feeling.

For the first week the colour will look more intense, but then the pigment will fade down and the results will appear very natural.

How long does semi-permanent make-up last for?

Semi-permanent makeup can last up to a couple of years depending on skin type, environment and the colours used. A top up is recommended every 9 to 12 months to maintain the colour and definition.
