Safe Removal Of Cherry Angiomas
Using Advanced Electrolysis
Have you noticed a small bright red spot on your skin that seems to have appeared out of nowhere?
Perhaps you’ve had it for years and every time you catch sight of it, you find yourself wishing it wasn’t there.
If so, you’re certainly not alone.
Many of the lovely clients who come to see me are concerned about small red blemishes known as cherry angiomas. Whilst they are harmless, they can become increasingly noticeable and sometimes affect confidence.
At PURE Holistic Beauty in Netley, Southampton, I offer Advanced Electrolysis treatment for the safe removal of cherry angiomas, helping clients feel more comfortable and confident in their skin.
What Is A Cherry Angioma?
Cherry angiomas are common, harmless collections of tiny blood vessels that appear on the skin as small red, pink or purple spots.
They are extremely common and tend to become more noticeable as we get older.
Cherry angiomas may also be known as:
- Campbell de Morgan spots
- Blood spots
- Red moles
- Red skin blemishes
Although they can appear almost anywhere on the body, they are commonly found on:
- The chest
- The stomach
- The back
- The shoulders
- The arms
- The neck
They are completely benign and are not contagious.
Why Do Cherry Angiomas Develop?
The exact cause isn’t always known.
They often become more common with age and can appear gradually over time.
Some people develop just one or two, whilst others may notice multiple angiomas appearing over the years.
Whilst harmless, many people simply prefer not to have them visible.
Why Do Clients Seek Treatment?
One of the most common things I hear is:
“I know it’s harmless, but it’s the first thing I notice.”
Many clients tell me they have become increasingly aware of a particular red spot and feel it stands out against their skin.
Others tell me that family members or friends have pointed it out, making them more conscious of it.
For many people, treatment isn’t about changing how they look.
It’s simply about removing something that has been bothering them for a long time.
HOW DOES THE TREATMENT WORK?
A Personal Approach
I understand that every blemish is personal.
Something that may seem very small to somebody else can still affect how you feel when you look in the mirror.
During your consultation I will carefully assess the area, explain whether treatment may be suitable and answer any questions you may have.
My approach is always honest, friendly and pressure-free.
I want every client to feel informed, comfortable and confident before making any decision about treatment.
How Does Advanced Electrolysis Treat Cherry Angiomas?
Advanced Electrolysis uses a very fine sterile probe to precisely target the tiny blood vessels that form the angioma.
A carefully controlled current is applied to treat the area while minimising disruption to the surrounding skin.
The treatment is highly precise and particularly well suited to many small red vascular blemishes.
A consultation is always carried out beforehand to assess suitability.
What Can I Expect During Treatment?
Most clients are pleasantly surprised by how quick treatment can be.
The sensation varies from person to person, but most people find it very manageable.
Treatment time depends on the size, location and number of angiomas being treated.
Healing And Aftercare
Following treatment the area may appear slightly red or darker for a short period.
A small temporary crust may form as part of the normal healing process.
This should be allowed to heal naturally.
The appearance of the area will continue to improve as healing progresses.
Full aftercare advice will be provided following treatment.
