HOW DOES SKIN TAG REMOVAL WORK?

At PURE Holistic Beauty, skin tags are removed using Advanced Electrolysis. A very fine sterile probe is applied to the skin tag, delivering a tiny burst of heat energy directly to the tissue.

This safely cauterises the skin tag without damaging the surrounding skin. Most skin tags can be treated quickly during a consultation appointment.

IS SKIN TAG REMOVAL PAINFUL?

Most clients describe the treatment as mild discomfort rather than pain.

Everyone experiences treatment differently, but many clients are pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the procedure is. Before we begin, I’ll explain everything clearly, answer any questions you may have and make sure you feel relaxed and reassured. Your comfort is always my priority, and I’ll never begin treatment until you feel completely happy to proceed.

WILL SKIN TAGS GROW BACK?

Once a skin tag has been successfully removed, that particular skin tag will not return.

However, because skin tags naturally develop over time, new skin tags may appear elsewhere in the future.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER TREATMENT?

Following treatment, the area may appear slightly pink or form a small protective crust.

This is a normal part of the healing process.

Most clients find that:

Redness settles within a few days
The treated area heals naturally
Normal activities can be resumed immediately
Results become increasingly visible as healing progresses

Before any treatment is carried out, I always ask clients to attend a consultation appointment.

This relaxed 30-minute appointment gives us plenty of time to get to know each other and make sure you’re completely happy before moving forward.

During your consultation I will:

Assess the area you would like treated
Explain exactly how Advanced Electrolysis works
Talk you through the treatment process step by step
Discuss the expected healing process
Explain your aftercare advice in detail
Take clinical photographs (with your permission)
Answer any questions you may have

Most importantly, it’s an opportunity for you to feel informed, reassured and confident that you’re making the right decision.

There is never any pressure to proceed with treatment.

Your Treatment Appointment

Treatment appointments are booked for a minimum of one hour.

Although the treatment itself is often much quicker, I never like clients to feel rushed.

At the beginning of your appointment we’ll go through everything again together, making sure you’re completely happy before we start.

Your appointment includes:

Reviewing your consultation
Answering any additional questions
Taking clinical photographs before treatment
Carrying out your Advanced Electrolysis treatment
Taking photographs immediately afterwards
Explaining your aftercare in full
Making sure you leave feeling confident about the healing process

Skin Tag Removal FAQs

Can skin tags be removed in one session?

Yes, in many cases skin tags can be removed during a single treatment appointment. The number of skin tags that can be treated will depend on their size, location and how many require removal.

Before any treatment takes place, a consultation is always required. This allows plenty of time to assess the area, discuss your concerns and ensure Advanced Electrolysis is the most appropriate treatment for you.

Is there any downtime?

There is very little downtime following Advanced Electrolysis skin tag removal. Most clients are able to return to their normal daily activities immediately after treatment.

The treated area may appear slightly pink or develop a small scab as part of the natural healing process. This is completely normal, and you’ll be given clear aftercare advice to help support healing and achieve the best possible result.

Will I have a scar?

Advanced Electrolysis is a precise treatment designed to minimise damage to the surrounding skin.

Everyone heals differently, but when aftercare advice is followed carefully, healing is usually excellent.

During your consultation I’ll explain exactly what you can expect, answer any questions you may have and provide personalised aftercare advice to help your skin heal beautifully.

Yes. Skin tags can often be safely removed from delicate areas including the face, eyelids and neck following a professional assessment.

As facial skin requires extra care, every treatment is carried out gently and precisely using Advanced Electrolysis to achieve the best possible cosmetic result.
